Deeply rural. If theres another Democrat hereabouts, I have not met him/her.

However, isn't it true that Kerry himself owns land in the panhandle of Idaho? Up around Sun Valley someplace? One might assume that area is home to a few dems.

More often than I'm used to lately, callers from Idaho are ringing into my local radio show in San Fran area: KGO who are Dems :)

Assuming you're not Mary Ann Richards, I know there is at least one more. She your county chair for the Owyhee County Democratic Party. If you don't already know her, I know Homedale is not that big of place, her phone number is 337-4467 and her email is [e-mail]. Please get involved locally, but also nationally. Even though everyone see us as a red state, we can and will change that here. Already Bush is 15% down in the polls from his result 4 years ago in Idaho. Our great state is well on the way to becoming blue and we have to be the ones doing it. If you haven't already please sign up at the volunteer center at www.johnkerry.com/volunteer and reach out to your friends, neighboors and coworkers. Beyond that, our friends down in Nevada really need our help. That state really is in play, Kerry has come back there from 10% down and is now leading by just 1% in the latest polls. We are sending lots of volunteers south, some for an event next weekend in Elko and some for the next few weeks in Reno and even Las Vegas. If you want to get involved, please contact me. I am not Mary Ann Richards. AndI'm happy to report that I'm not the only Dem in the county! I've lately seen Kerry-Edwards signs go up in a couple of yards.

I've been talking to friends and neighbors and handing out a few voter reg cards when appropriate. There are some traditional republicans round here that will be voting against Bush this time around.

A reported huge increase in Hispanic voter registration in the state this year should be interesting.
