1. Larry Grant
has a real chance to win in the 1st CD. I think we can pick up at least a few seats in the Idaho house, and maybe a few in the senate. I think Jana can beat Tom Luna in the superintendents race. Other than that, not too hopeful.

2. The Northend
When you're in the Northend you can almost visualize Idaho
being this liberal...that all changes once you leave the neighborhood.

3. How blue is Idaho?
I was raised Mormon, and Idaho was like...Utah part II, and since Utah is so red, I imagine Idaho, isn't to far behind....

7. I visit Idaho every summer
And I would like to visit some of the Blue areas to show my appreciation. Where would you suggest that I spend my time and money?

8. Idaho Blues...
The bluest of Idaho is the Ketchum , Halley or Sun Valley area.
The Northend in Boise is the bluest area in Idaho's largest city.
Hyde Park on 13th Street in the Northend will give you plenty of
freethinkers and like-minded souls.:kick:

9. Thank you
I will look into that. It is really frustrating to visit such a beautiful place and find only ugly people.

When I was in Sandpoint last month I could feel angry stares everywhere I went. I just attributed it to my liberal anti-war bumper stickers and "hippie" appearance. I look forward to finding a place where I can be welcome.

Thanks again.

10. From my observation, Idaho is actually more red than Utah
Utah has a dem congressman and from what I gather an actually functioning democratic party. They were able to mount a pretty good challenge in the Governor's race in '04. Idaho, on the other hand, it seems like the democratic party is on life support.

11. We're turning this around...
Idaho can be blue. It won't happen over night. There are Idaho Democrat state and county web sites. There are plenty of local Democratic meetings. Think positive and join our fight !:kick:

12. That's not exactly true, but your point is well taken.
We tell an old joke here in Idaho about the Democratic party.

We hold all Democratic meetings in a phone booth.

1. The first guy keeps the phone booth door from closing because we are, after all, a party open to all people and we believe in "open door" policies when conducting meetings.
2. The second guy keeps the phone off the hook in order to keep it from ringing and interrupting the meeting.
3. The third guy conducts the meeting.
