Why Does Boeing need this job filled in Kihei???

The Question we should all be asking is... why do they need a person of this background to work in Kihei, Maui???? (I can understand Oahu but not Maui)

What the hell are they doing there????

Env Hlth, Shea Program Mgmt

Implements and performs daily management of environmental, health and safety process requirements. Facilitates special orders and reviews hazardous materials management. Samples hazardous waste for analysis and prepares paper work for shipment. Collects information regarding emergency situations by testing air quality or sampling spilled material and mitigates risk. Participates in workgroup safety meetings and reviews safety metrics. Prepares compliance, technical reports and memos to document and meet environmental, health and safety regulatory requirements. Acts as company liaison with environmental, health and safety regulatory agencies for on site inspections. Develops and applies for environmental permitting to support business requirements. Performs periodic reviews of environmental, health and safety programs to support regulatory and compliance requirements. Designs and deploy environmental, health and safety survey methods to evaluate workplace hazards to ensure environmental, health and safety requirements are met. Provides input to new business opportunities and facilities projects to ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety requirements. Develops environmental, health & safety education and training materials to support regulatory and business requirements. Evaluates impact of new regulations on company operations to support business requirements and regulation compliance.

1. It appears to be up at Science City on Haleakala

Notes Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. U.S. citizenship required. Must be able to work at 10,000 elevation. Boeing Maui LTS relocation policy (Boeing transfers EXCLUDES Hone Owner benefit and SLA).

Wonder what kind of hazardous waste they're generating up there? Hopefully it's just an issue of compliance with regs, and not a Superfund site in the clouds!
