Machine Vote-Flipping Claimed in McKinney Primary
Machine Vote-Flipping Claimed in McKinney Primary

By Matthew Cardinale, News Editor and National Correspondent, Atlanta Progressive News (July 18, 2006)

(APN) ATLANTA –“You’ve got electronic voting machines. Many people called in and shared their concern. They pushed the button for Cynthia McKinney and Hank Johnson came up. It wasn’t one time, it wasn’t two times, it was many, many times,” Karen Fitzpatrick, who has been monitoring elections for US Rep. McKinney’s re-election campaign, told Atlanta Progressive News in an exclusive interview.

Let me repeat: The McKinney Campaign says they have documented complaints of voters here in Georgia whose votes FLIPPED BEFORE THEIR VERY EYES on Diebold machines.

“It started early this morning. There were well over 25 to 30 calls that came in . Many of them went to the poll manager . In some cases, the poll managers said there’s nothing we can do. In some cases the voter left frustrated as if their vote had been compromised, as if it had been stolen,” Fitzpatrick said.

3. Yep. Her victory was stolen by Diebold. Do we care?
The Republicans, who are allowed to vote in the runoff, are all voting for Johnson and some people here are helping the Republicans by helping their choice Johnson.

4. He's neal boortz's choice too
Everyone in the power establishment wants McKinney gone, even many of the Democrats. She asks too many questions. A non-incident with a cop is the least of their worries; they don't want someone who fights power as voraciously as her.

5. The Republicans are backing Johnson so its no surprise
I hope there are exit polls. I wish we could keep the Republican Johnson supporters out of the Democratic runoff and out of our groups. The Democrats need to stand up more to these neo-cons who think they can steal elections.

7. what I hate most about Diebold..
no curtains, no privacy, and because of those huge screens..almost anyone in the room who is interested can see how you voted! what happened to the secret ballot? What gives me the right to see who the person next to me is voting for, and the person next to me the right to see who I'm voting for?
