Not tourist rates, a simple, fixed-income small apartment type thing. We're contemplating moving down there.

1. Oh man, good luck
Its locked out city down there for affordable housing. From what I here, anyway. Try to stay in the middle or upper keys. Marathon or islamorada

2. Ok, thanks - I've been looking at some ads for old houseboats, but they
just say that the space rental is low, without specifying what "low" is. That's just one potential avenue, of course.

6. I know of a cement block 1/2 duplex in Key Largo. It's $900 per month,
electricity and cable included. It's a 1 bedroom, 1 bath with a huge Florida room. It's on the water and part of a campground. PM me if you want more information. My husband and I rented the place for a while when we first moved down here.

8. Call the Key West Chamber of Commerce!
You will receive for free...a brochure from every rental agengy...video's of rental property..etc. They will plug you in to a system according to the needs you are looking for....it is a great service. Then you can look at the ones you want to start calling!

Also...try the Curry Mansion....they have rental rooms and apts..behind the historical house on Caroline just off of Duval. Great location...there are so many...just go to the site...and call or email...

17. We sold ours last year. Never really used it for much more than a
moving van, except for one period.
