Man Wearing Headphones Hit By Train
Pedestrian Airlifted To Hospital


ORLANDO, Fla. -- An Amtrak train hit a pedestrian who was wearing headphones on Central Boulevard in downtown Orlando on Monday.

According to Orlando police, the crash happened at 17 West Central Boulevard.

The Orlando Fire Department said the pedestrian was airlifted to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police said he suffered massive internal injuries.

Witnesses told Local 6 a man was trying to walk across the tracks and was hopping in between the cars of a parked train and apparently did not see the train coming.

First in the nation I believe. It was because of the railroad traffic for the shoe industry. Saved a lot of pedestrians.
