What do you think Dodi, Amaya, Jonnyblitz, Throckmorton, LeviathanCrumbling, NewJeffCT, NightTrain and any other CT folks?

1. I'll try to make it
Aug 14 would be better for me than the 7th.

Not sure if my wife will go, as she likes to sleep in... so, maybe I can bring my 17 month old daughter along to entertain everybody and let my wife sleep in peace for a few hours.

4. Directions - not guaranteed for accuracy
But, they should be pretty close.

From Hartford, take 91 South to Exit 22S (Route 9 South) If you're in WH, you may just want to get directly onto 9 South off of 84 (Exit 39A)

Go past the Cromwell exits (19?) on Route 9 South and when you get to the first light on Route 9, take a right. Yes, there is a light on this highway. Be warned, on a Saturday morning, traffic could be backed up for miles due to this light & the next on 9 South... people headed to the beach.

After you take the right, you'll go under and overpass or train tracks (or something) and up a hill.

At the top of the short hill, you'll come to a light with a big Catholic church on your right (my grandmother went to school there!) - take a left at the light there and O'Rourke's will be right there on your left.

Chavez can correct me if I'm wrong.

6. Shall we set a time and post an official invite?
I wish we could do this tomorrow -- I am so high on being a dem right now. But next week would be great. Would 9:30/10:00 be o.k. or are you all early risers?

I might have missed this if you hadn't mentioned it in the thread about Colin. We will probably be in Maine on the 14th but we will definitely come if it's the 7th. It would give us the chance to talk up Shaun McNally in time for the Aug. 10th primary for those in the Second Congressional District.
Check out Shaun's website http://www.votemcnally.com/ Shaun is definitely a DU kind of guy and I've tried to get his campaign to post here. I thought that I had one of his interns convinced but I have yet to see anything posted.
Shaun is running a strictly grassroots campaign and accepting no special interest money. Instead, he has been relying on house parties and word of mouth. We have had two house parties for him and he has wowed everybody. I am convinced that he can win the general election if he can just get past the primary. He figures that it will take only about 7000 to 8000 votes to do it.
So, please check him out and get an absentee ballot if you're going to be away.
The breakfast is a great idea and if we can't make this one I hope that there will be more. I was so jealous of the people who made it to Boston!

8. If Lowell is backing him he must be good. I am in the first district
and we have the best damn congressman around! Also, I was one of the lucky ones that went to Boston -- with Harriet Brown. It was such a great time. What a great bunch of people. We will have to road trip it next time they have something in Boston.

13. Assuming you haven't already met today (Aug 7), I'd love to join you.
I'll keep an eye on this thread to make sure it's still on, but the 14th at 9 a.m. sounds great. And I can even walk to O'Rourke's. How convenient is that?

15. I believe the breakfast will be in September.
Would those who are interested please post their available weekends in September. We can then set a date and hopefully meet. I can't believe how fast August has gone. I am free in September except for the Saturday the 25th. August 29th I am going to be in NYC!!! Anyone one else from CT going down?

17. I have a weddding that morning! I haven't been invited to a wedding
in YEARS! I will have to opt out. Any other weekend would be fine with me if the 25th doesn't work out.
