2. Greetings from East Hartford!
In answer to your questions:

<<1. Who you vote for in the primary?>>
Kucinich.

<<2. Who did you vote for (for) governor last year?>>
In 2002, I voted for Bill Curry.

<<3. Are you employed?>>
For the moment. However, some time in the next few weeks, my workplace is closing down and I'll be out on my ass! Isn't that nice?

<<4. Who do you prefer-Yankees, Mets or Red Sox?>>
I've no interest in baseball. Sorry....

<<5. Do you own a car?>>
Of coruse! You can't simultaneously live in the Nutmeg State and have a life unless you own a functioning automobile.

5. Hartford checking in
I live in the south end of Hartford.

1. Voted for Dennis
2. Bill Curry
3. I am employed p/t+ (I get to work from home when I can't be in the office)
4. Yankees fan, in other sports - Bruins, Green Bay and LA Lakers
5. I own a rust bucket with four wheels.

In Hartford we are currently fighting to get more money into our school system. By law we should have a $230 million budget, the superintendent proposed a $216 maintenance budget and they are giving us $195 I believe. There was a great rally at the Capitol last week. A lot of kids showed up, parents, teachers, legislators. I hope we can get the funding. I guess from what I heard on Colin yesterday Connecticut now has a $100 million surplus. Wonder where that will go.

6. No longer a CT peep either
We now live in Massachusetts. But I grew up there (West Hartford...sigh) and most of my family and many of my friends still live there. And we visit often, especially when my family scores us UConn tix.

I'm not sure if I'd want Rowland to go or not -- they should impeach his ass, but he's such an embarrassment I'd love to see him slime the whole GOP.

7. Greetings from Exotic Waterbury!
Actually, I only work in Waterbury. I live in even more exotic West Haven (WOO HOO!). Lifelong CT resident, entire family from New Haven originally.

And now, your answers:

1. Nobody. I didn't vote in the primary.
2. The Democrat. Rowland is a lying crook who should be impeached as soon as possible.
3. Yes. For now.
4. I despise all the local baseball teams. I'm an LA Dodger fan.
5. In CT? Of course!

52. West Haven?? Sweet! Go Blue Devils!
I lived in "Waste Haven" for a couple of years when I was a teen. We lived on the corner of 3rd and Brown... lots of good memories of that place... as long as I'm checking in here, anybody live in the Jewitt City/Griswold area? My mom still lives there, right on Pachaug pond. Alas, I now live in Washington State, but Connecticut will always be "home".

35. Checking in, finally
1. Who you vote for in the primary?
Been with Kerry since the start.

2. Who you vote for (for) governor last year?
Curry, largely because he wasn't Rowland, not because he made an impression on me. The "recent" discoveries didn't shock me.

3. Are you employed?
Yes, not quite full time.

4. Who do you prefer-Yankees, Mets or Red Sox?
Gave up on baseball after the '94 strike, but Red Sox (and Phillies, too). The NY teams are evil.

5. Do you own a car?
I own a pickup truck. I work from home and don't drive much.

Hope all is well in your part of CT!
I like it here in New London County. It'll start getting better in November, along with much of the country + planet.

38. Not there anymore, but I keep tabs on the Nutmeg State
I was born and spent almost 50 years in Norwalk. I'm in SC now, only because my kids have relocated here. I miss the proximity to NYC, where I could hop on a train and arrive within an hour. My aging father is still there, so I'll get up there sometime soon. I'm pretty much out of it as far as politics go, and don't even know who these guys are anymore, except for the infamous Rowland. Fairfield County was always more wrapped up in NY politics back in my day, before local cable coverage. We only had the 3 networks, and they featured NYC news.

Just voted at 6:30--long lines--huge Bush signs greeted us. Going to hold signs later today--gotta oust Simmons big time.

70. I'm from Fairfield, Connecticut
I moved here three years ago after living in Westport for eighteen years. Before that, it was White Plains, NY. I like Connecticut much better than Noo Yawk.

1. Who you vote for in the primary?

Edwards -- I felt that he has a lot of charisma, and that's what people vote for. Unfortunately, he didn't add that much to the ticket.

2. Who you vote for (for) governor last year?

Bill Curry. It was a very difficult thing to do, as I can't stand the man. But I disliked Rowland even more.

3. Are you employed?

I'm self-employed.

4. Who do you prefer-Yankees, Mets or Red Sox?

I'm not that much of a baseball fan, but I was thrilled when the Red Sox won the series. I thought it was an omen for Kerry. I like the Mets in the National League.

5. Do you own a car?

Yes -- a red convertible!
