Anybody else petitioning for Lamont....
To get him onto the primary ballot?

Just curious... I was out this afternoon trying to get signatures and wondered if any other DUers were involved yet.

1. It took me two hours to get 4 sigs -- but very willing sigs
The problem was I went to homes in our neighboorhood -- they were elderly and wanted to talk. I made the mistake of asking one neighbor if his wife (the registered dem) was home -- he said no she has been in a nursing home for 3 years -- boy, did I feel awful, but he hates Joey. I am going to go out the rest of this week in the afternoon.

2. Yay!
I got three sigs so far, two were so easy they were cheating - my daycare provider and my husband, LOL. Most people weren't home this afternoon, being mother's day, I think. We're planning to be out again tomorrow evening and Tuesday evening. Good luck to you! :)

3. Yep, I've completed one full sheet and almost got a second one filled
I also got signatures from 2 friends not in my town, so 2 more sheets with only 1 sig each.

I've had better success than I thought I would in my neighborhood. Only met 2 households that supported Lieberman. Most that signed supported a primary and a discussion between Lieberman and Lamont. There were a couple households who didn't like Lieberman and were willing to give Lamont a chance to make his case.

I didn't get out as much as I wanted yesterday due to heavy rains in my neck of the woods and many had taken their mothers out to dinner.

8. I've been giving $$ to Ned and plan to go to his Hartford Office in WH

Well very interesting evening here in Granby John Destefano came up to a town dem. house party. Maybe 15 - 16 people and what we have 5 delegates???? (But Dan Malloy came up about 2 months ago to our town as well). Both were well spoken but Mr. DeStefano can really work the room, lots of energy, lots of good ideas. And a clear plan on how to defeat a popular incumbent.

Being an optometrist ( health care provider), I was very interested in his health plan ( uugg. of course it is plan design provided by private insurers, we live in the Insurance Capital of the World so we must obey) but at least it is a start. He also hit the right notes on property tax reform and public school education....

All in all very impressive and more impressive that he came out at a late hour (8:45pm) and stayed late and for what 15 votes or the 5 delegates??? I think that speaks volumes!!!

9. I got two Greens to register as Dems today! They hate
Joey THAT much! It has been great going around the neighborhood. This has resulted in a block party being planned. I guess I don't hate going house to house as much as I thought.

13. They have to be Dems. And the town, municipality must match their
address.... I just got forms and Granby had a Dem Caucus last night... Incredible number of dems. showed up for a Probate judge caucus it really gives me hope that the word is out and Dems are mobilizing... I mean it was for a 2 Dems that wanted the Probate judge spot and a bunch of dems showed up.!!!
