2. Coulter was out of her league.
Franken was funny, intelligent, and honest. Coulter couldn't even come up with any answers and when she did she looked like an idiot. One question from the moderator was " Who would you be in history and what would you change?" ( or something similar) Coulter answered first. She would be FDR so that she could stop the New Deal. Franken then answered " He would like to be Hitler so he could have stopped the Holocaust. She looked so petty and the audience mocked her every stupid comment.

I don't know how she ever got into Cornell and her law degree from Michigan. Everytime she said something Franken would blow her out of the water.

3. I was at the simulcast!
Coulter and Franken appeared at the simulcast theatre about 20 minutes before the show for a surprise appearance before heading off to the main theatre. My goodness I never knew Coulter was THAT thin!

Anyways right off the bat Franken had people rolling with the Hitler comeback to Ann. Coulter was really out of her league. She just didn't have the wits to stay in there against a comedian. Not to mention Coulter said some really dumb and awful things that just made her sound more stupid.

- She repeatedly uttered the name Senator Norm Coleman to taunt hecklers and rub salt in Al Franken's wounds (Franken was of course very distraught over Paul Wellstones death)
- She claimed the Looting in Iraq after the war was no big deal because they only destroyed "some pottery".
- She claimed that the Abu Gharib beatings were a shock only because Americans did it. It woudl not have been a shock if the French had done it. (That got a lot of huhs? and Whhaaaaats? from the crowd)
- There were many others but I lost count. She really looked uncomfortable all night and was VERY unimpressive live and in person. She certainly is a paper tiger. She writes tough, but is not a good public speaker.

Basically Ann got beaten pretty badly. Of course she and some of her supporters (at least in the simulcast theatre) began claiming that Franken was taking up too much time, although it wasn't all that lopsided, and Coulter never had anything to say really when it was her turn.

Coulter was so bad, I ALMOST felt sorry for her. However, she was such an ass and has made her livign and fortune over being a bully and a jerk, that she really had this beating coming to her.

6. They dragged out some drunk Freeper near where I was sitting.
The moran would try to clap as loud as possible whenever she spoke, no matter what she said. Then he started yelling at the people around him for "eyeballing him".

The worst part was when the mediator called Paul Wellstone an "obscure senator".

But Franken slayed her. She had no repsonse to anything and just reverted back to her talking points. Of course, this made things easy for Franken cause he already has disproved everything she has ever said. It was a great show. Every word Coulter spoke was straight from hell.

7. Coulter was the big loser.
she was in a lose-lose situation. When she stayed on her talking points, franken was waiting with the facts to discredit her. When she went off her talking points, (trying to escape franken's facts), she couldn't think of anything to say and just sat there like an idiot. Sounds alike like her President doesn't it. She will never do this again unless its in some southern Baptist College. i hope she uses the money she earned to get some food. And this time she should try to keep it down. The women has an eating disorder.

(Just to see Coulter blown out of the water anyway.) I wanted to see Palast a couple weeks ago and I wanted to see this, but I never seem to get to. :( Anyway, glad it was good and thanks for the play by plays. :)
