Very strange. What does this have anything to do with running for office other than to gain sympathy?

BTW, she is running against Karen Wilde for the open HD40 seat ( http://karenwilde.com/ ).

I just found out about the Acree backstory a few days ago, literally. I knew she had health issues (and that, therefore, she's running on a health care platform) but I had no idea it was that drastic. Wow.

Thanks for the DU publicity for Karen's site!!
