HOW ABOUT SOME INFO

H0w about some good points and bad points about tabor. We are getting a version of your tabor on our ballot. the main difference between ours and yours is the governing body has to aprove a change by 2/3 to send to voters.

1. I like the burrito joint in the food court.
Ask for the Carne Asada burrito with guacamole. Fills you up! Otherwise Tabor is a fairly pedestrian shopping center, nothing special. :hi:

2. A joke, right?
Tabor was a bad idea, any budget surplus had to be returned, but there was no provision for the exploding growth here over the last decade; thus, services suffered. Schools, roads, police, firefighters, etc. not enough money to keep up. I'm not an expert, just a concerned citizen.

And the Tabor mall is boring . . .

4. Yes, a joke.
I agree. Like Prop 13 in California, Tabor's limit on spending is detrimental to the services of the state. Population growth is only exacerbating the problem. It should be repealed. Problem is that it's a public referendum, so I wonder if it needs to go to the voters again to be repealed.

I was talking about the Tabor Center on the 16th St. Mall.

3. What I wrote in 2004 still holds true...
To my great dismay. In fact, for mental health professionals working for the state mental health system, the system has gotten far worse. Client load is even higher than when I left, and those that the state does manage to hire have a rapid turnover, as the private sector is both less stressful and more lucrative.
