Who are people supporting for other state wide offices other than AG

1. So far I've heard
My boss, John Garamendi, is running for Lt. Governor and Jackie Speirer may as well. I wish she would run for Insurance Commissioner to carry on the good work that Garamendi's administration has done. I also heard that Deborh Ortiz may be interested. Unfortunately, the wonderful and self-serving King of Charisma, Cruz Bustamonte, is interested, too.

2. What is your issue with Bustamonte?
My issues are that he cost Davis the recall election and I heard his son wanted the Secretary of State job and he influenced people not to stand behind Shelley. I don't know too much about the specifics of the later but the polls showed that if Bustamonte had dropped out of the recall race, the recall would have failed.

3. I voted for Bustamonte in the recall election
but only because there wasn't much to choose from that might have a legitimate chance against the Boobengrabber. Granted, he came from humble beginnings and has become successful, I have serious concerns that he might try to use the Insurance Commissioner's position to feather his own nest and hop into the sack with the industry.

As far a having a hand in dooming Davis, I disagree. Davis did himself in for the most part. His arrogance alienated the Dem Legislature and they were no longer willing to carry his vision. Yes, there were other, evil, forces behind the recall, but if he had done his job effectively, and not spent so much time raising campaign funds, it wouldn't have raised a red flag.

6. Bustamate is termed out
What polls were you looking at? Not the same ones I was. Once the recall was certified, I never saw any poll at any time that had Davis surviving in office.

Whether we like it or not, Davis was going down whether Bustamante ran or not. Over 55% voted to recall Davis. It was a good idea for the Democrats to have a safety valve; unfortunately it didn't work.

8. You 'heard' that Bustamante's son wanted to be SOS?
Was it from a reliable source?

5. umm
Angelides for Governor, for sure
Dario Frommer for treasurer because I feel a strange devotion to him (from my hometown and I volunteered a lot of my time during his reelection campaign in 2002)

7. John Chiang
for Treasurer. Heard him during a 'town hall' budget meeting @ the convention....very, VERY impressive. Jackie Speirer; J Garamendi running 4 Lt. Gov; Angelides, Westly; Lockyear running 4 Gov...thats all I remember seeing signs for. There were signs 4 persons running 4 various congressional districts.

9. Saladino for Treasurer
I'm supporting Mark Saladino for Treasurer. This is the only guy with the background and qualifications for the job. He is currently Los Angeles County Treasurer. The rest of the candidates running are just looking for a place to land because they are termed out (Frommer, Dunn, Chiang). Up until last week, Dunn was going to run for AG, until he decided he couldn't win it, and switched to Treasurer. I want someone for Treasurer who isn't just using it to hold their place in the political spotlight, until a job comes up that they really do want. www.mark2006.com
