Thousands of Californians have swarmed the streets approaching the Ritz Carlton of San Francisco in protest of the fundraiser Arnold has scheduled this evening. While Air Arnold flies a banner plane above Nob Hill reading "California Is Not For Sale - Arnoldwatch.org," protesters at the corner of Pine and Grant are blocking limos as they attempt to drop off Arnold's special interest contributors at the posh hotel.

This may be the largest assembly yet of firefighters, cops, nurses, teachers and other citizens speaking out against the gov's fundraising habit and his $70 million special interest special election. Liberty Belle, for the swingstateproject reporting! I work in a lower Nob Hill restaurant, and could only watch the protesters come and go from the windows. I would have loved to participate! The people I saw were "regular" folks; firefighters with their spouses, teachers, mothers with strollers...
Arnold is truly messing with "We The People".

10. Funny how firefighters were heroes after 9/11, and now

all of a sudden they've become "special interests" to Arnold. We need to remind the public of that fact. I wonder how many CA firefighters went to NY to help rescue folks from the wreckage after 9/11? Wouldn't sit too well with most people to take away their pensions and survivors' benefits, I'd think.

Local media in LA was ALL OVER this.

They made a point to say that the protesters were not the "typical" SF protestors (they're words not mine) and they interviewed this one fire fighter that said "we are just working class people".

I hope the heat stays on Arnie's ass.
