GOP pours more money into California Senate race

National Republicans are spending big in the U.S. Senate race in California, directing another $3 million toward a round of television ads in the campaign's final week.

Amber Marchand, a spokeswoman with the National Republican Senatorial Committee, says the organization has now spent nearly $8 million in support of Republican challenger Carly Fiorina. Polls show her gaining ground on Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer, who is seeking a fourth term.
