Great documentary !

Wednesday, November 11 at 12 noon and 7:00 PM (Potluck at 6:30) Center for Nonviolence, 1584 N. VanNess. (south-east corner of McKinley and Van Ness). In its 2nd Wed. Video Series, the Center will show Brave New Films most recent documentary “Rethink Afghanistan”: The Afghan answer to the question - are American troops making them safer?

After eight years of U.S. military engagement in Afghanistan, violence and instability still prevail. The military approach to Afghanistan is not succeeding; further application of American military force will not bring stability to the country or security to our own. The problems facing Afghan society are economic, social and political in nature, and require economic, social and political solutions. The U.S. can play a more constructive role in Afghanistan by engaging civil society than by waging war.

Wheelchair accessible. Free to the public. For more information call the Center Mon-Fri 11-3 at 237-3223.
