Former San Francisco Superior Court Judge Lillian Sing, handpicked by Gavin Newsom and downtown interests to become their District 1 supervisor -- even though she's lived in District 1 less than 7 months -- is now basing her entire campaign on her "tough on crime" credentials. As the election draws to a close, the extremely well-financed Sing has crafted slick and expensive mass-mailings entitled "For Safer Streets" and "Protecting a Great Neighborhood."
However, Sing's actual
record as a Superior Court justice
completely belies her claims. Believe it or not, Judge Sing actually inexplicably released a twice convicted felon with extensive recent history of extreme domestic violence, resulting in the brutal slaying of his estranged District 1 girlfriend within a month -- one of less than a dozen total murders in the Richmond district in the last 10 years! In addition, Judge Sing's indefensible failure to poll the jury allowed yet another brutal murderer back on the streets for no more than time already served.
As outrageous and unbelievable as these charges sound, they are indisputably true. The facts are clearly documented in this must-read PDF file with some extremely damning supporting links:
