Contaminated Water in Fresno (what did the city know and when did they know it)
Yosemite Water will begin delivering water to each home in Herndon Town (approximately 78 residences). There will be 3 bottles (3 gallons each) for a total of 9 gallons per house delivered. The decision on how much to deliver was based on the FEMA recommendation of 1/2 gallon per person, per day. Please note that residents may still consume their own tap water following the boiling process and may use untreated water for irrigation and bathing.

The City of Fresno is coordinating the bottled water deliveries to assist its residents in Herndon Town who are affected by contamination affecting the privately operated Herndon Water Company system. The City of Fresno's water supply is not affected by the contamination issue.

For additional information, please contact Ann Kloose, Department of Public Utilities, at 417-4291
