Just another shade of Gray
---

Is it time for Total Recall: The Sequel?

Just as Gray Davis failed to anticipate the dot-com slump and its effect on the budget, Schwarzenegger has left us unprepared for the housing bust and the rest of the current slump.

And one of his solutions to a $14-billion budget gap is more borrowing on top of what was already record-breaking borrowing, which would mean years of debt.

Need I remind you this was the guy who promised to tear up the credit cards?

3. Davis was a weasel. Ahnuld is an even worse weasel.
Ahnuld has vetoed Electoral College reform and and universal health care, among other improvements passed by the legislature, and he has allowed the prison mess to fester.

and other working people while not perfect, Look what we have now Oh, it was a fine time trashing a dem governor during the recall, now they are closing state parks.Davis Signed AB 205 Domestic partners. Arnold vetoed SS marriage passed by the reps& senators.Californians dserve another regan for that treachery. The Arnold voters suck.

5. My main beef with Gray was his fondness for the prison industry.
It's not like I ever voted for Ahnuld. I would have been much happier and California would now be a much better place if he had kicked Ahnuld's ass. That doesn't mean he cannot be criticized for his failures.

6. no , it doesn't I agree, but
a recall election is no time to pile on the Dem, no matter what. I am still bitter many so-called progressive DU'rs can take a bow for their complicity in Arnold's election like many Westley voters

7. so you're blaming people who voted for Steve Westley for Ahnuld winning?
hate to say it but Phil Angelides was the worst candidate we could have nominated in 2006

8. No, I blame the vile nature of the campaign
It was 6 months of anti Phil ads by Westley folks followed by the same ads repackaged by Arnold . I know they said Angliedes started it, and I don't doubt it but the negative tenure was effective enough to make the Den nominee unlikable.Add to that the idiots who thought Terminator would be "cool" and there you have it.

9. Yeah, I can go along with that.
It is worth remembering what a bunch of self-serving weasels many of the State Dem leaders were in that situation and have been since, and to vote down Prop. 93 to make sure they get to spend more time with their families.
