2. They are asking questions pertinent to Wesley's background.

Not a lot of people know he was at EBay in the beginning for example, or that he was among the UC students who persuaded the UC regents to divest themselves of any Apartheid State ( S. Africa) investments. Push polling means they are asking questions like
" If you knew Phil Angelides ran a company that was cited for polluting Lake Tahoe,and his partner ended up going to jail,
how does that affect your perception of him?"
a) less inclined to vote for him
b) seriously concerned with this
c) no difference

That was a real question. Albeit paraphrased .
