Just got a robo call telling me to vote NO on 79 and Yes on 78

god I hate those. I hit the delete key just when the "paid for by..." so I didn't hear who paid for it but I'm sure it was a list of pharmaceutical companies...

2. I got the same call

I did hear the "paid for by ..." and yes it was a list of pharmaceutical companies.

It was a recording and not a person, so no good putting them on hold or telling them off.

3. I got one in the mail but I couldn't find anywhere who was

sponsoring this. They also advocated voting no on all of Arnold's propositions. (?) If it is the pharma companies. That is pretty sneaky and unethical of them to try to get Democratic votes.

You can be pretty sure it's PhRMA, the drug companies lobby, and their "California Initiative Fund" They've raised more than $80 million to fight Prop 79, and have already spent a lot of that bombarding the state with nasty little TV ads.

Earlier in the cycle they had a robo-call featuring Duf Sondheim, the chair of the Cal GOP - the "paid for" line at the end sounded like an Alvin and The Chipmunks song as they ried to get all they hyphenated drug company names in as quick as possible.
