1. Bad Idea, of course
One thing Californians are upset about is expensive special elections. Makes no sense to call a special election, especially when his time is almost up. A recall election would take place no more than a few months before a regular election.
waste of time, waste of money, really, really stupid.

we'll vote him out of office next year

until then, we need to concentrate on defeating the ballot measures and uniting behind Angelides since he's the best candidate to beat Ahnuld and send him and his skinny assed wife back to Hollywood

5. I am probably too vindictive for my own good
but I would love to see the look on his face when he is marched out of office the same way he came in.

I realize, however, that conventional wisdom would be to let him get defeated in the polls.
