State targets 39 drug firms
(Ca. Attorney General) Lockyer said the drug makers falsely reported that their drugs cost more than the amount they actually charged the doctors and pharmacies who dispensed drugs for Medi-Cal patients. The state paid the higher price to the doctors and pharmacies, who then pocketed the difference.

1. The cheat medical all the time.
Medical gets routinely over charged and that's nothing new. These folks have learned how to cheat the system and they've made an ASOP of it since at least the 1980's. The drug companies routinely get caught and claim it's all a misunderstanding, promise to never do it again, then get caught doing the same thing a year or two later.

Atleast medical hasn't been absolutely ruined by drug company bribed Republicans the way Medicaid has been. Can you believe that Republicans made it illegal for medicaid to pay current market price for drugs? Yep, companies like Walmart or Costco typically retail drugs for 66%-20% of the MSRP and demand deep discounts from drug companies or they refuse to carry that company's products. Yet Congressional Republicans wrote the medicaid drug benefit so that it is illegal for medicaid to ask for discounts and instead must always pay MSRP. NO ONE pays MSRP!

I guess the Republicans know the drug companies will keep bribing them with "campaign donations" if the Republicans keep cheating American taxpayers. Hell, the average citizen is to stupid and lazy to bother paying attention so maybe they deserve to be cheated. :(
