We got back last weekend from a trip to the Tahoe area and it was so refreshing for this Central Oregon girl to see so much support for Peace. As we drove around Lake Tahoe, we were just West of Incline Village and I was tired and sunburned and half asleep when I heard numerous car horns honking. I looked around and saw the cause. A group of senior citizens were holding anti-bush signs and inviting people to honk if they want our troops out of Iraq. It was GREAT!

People where I live are too scared to speak up if they disagree with George W. Bush. I just wanted to let you know how nice it was to see people willing to put themselves out there like that. This was before the Cindy Sheehan vigils. Hopefully through her this will become more commonplace.

Sometimes it's easy to get overwhelmed by all the negativity this administration has brought the world. It's so nice to hear that people in my state were doing something that uplifted you...thank you so much for sharing that!

p.s. there is this huuuuge loser that lives in your state that goes on ad nauseum on a board I used to visit. He is the world's biggest supporter for the bushie agenda. He alone made me never want to visit oregon--for fear everyone was like him (how he made it sound). Thanks for showing me how wrong he is about your state!
