Native Arkansan now in IL wants to know if Hillary or obama has a
shot in Arkansas. Most of my family in Little Rock are leaning towards Edwards, as am I, but I want to know the mood of the state. Hope to read your posts....and Go Hogs! Actually, I'm a UALR Trojan, but hey,...

1. Personally, I am an Edwards supporter, but Obama really could
stand a chance, but Clinton has the black vote here. But on the other side, she is reviled by
a lot of parties here also. It seems that Ark is pretty wide open. On the down side, I think
I am the only one who watches the debates. People are starting to regret asking me what I
think B-)

2. Hillary will trounce Obama
She is way ahead in all the polls. What is interesting is that there doesn't seem to be any enthusiasm. Not many bumper stickers, it's as if there isn't a primary coming up.

If it were a Hillary/Huckster match-up in November, Hillary would win. Huckster was very unpopular by the time he left office. Arkansas wasn't nuts about Hillary, and particularly now doesn't view her as a Native Son, but the state is poor and blue, so they'll vote Democratic. Even if the Democrat is Hillary.

4. The Hill dog will win, but it'll be closer than you think
Obama is really gaining steam. But Hillary is still the front runner. Any interesting House elections in 2008 in Arkansas? Hoping all this democratic popularity will win us more seats in the house

Im currently in Iowa's 4th, where William J Meyers, a veteran and fervent democrat, is running up against do-nothing Bush peon Tom Latham. I'm really hoping we can garner the support needed to take on his Republican ad machine. Here is William J Meyers link...

Get back to me with Arkansas candidates if your able.

BTW, hoping we can include an Obama/ Clinton (or vis-versa) ticket and maybe JE as AG, and Bill Richardson as Secretary of State... could be amazing!

Go Razorbacks,

Ames Vet
Meyers for House 2008
