Shady Shadegg is crashing! Woohoo!
Dear Friends,

The last few weeks have been truly exciting, and I want to share some of the great news with you!

Through your tenacious volunteer and fund raising efforts, our campaign for change in Washington is on the map and gaining a lot of national and local attention.

The most recent poll in our race shows John Shadegg's support has crashed since January. Only 31 percent of likely voters said they will vote for Shadegg in November - that's a drop of eight points from a poll conducted only four months ago!

Presidential nominee Sen. John McCain called Arizona a "swing state" this week, publicly warning that he could lose his home state. McCain's former Congressional District is ours, District 3. Only 48 percent of District 3 voters would choose McCain, and 43 percent would support Sen. Barack Obama, according to results from the same poll.

Why are Shadegg (and McCain) struggling so much here in District 3? It may be that there are over 56,000 veterans who live here, while Shadegg continues to vote against critical veterans issues like the GI Bill and veterans' health care. Our troops risk their lives and sacrifice for our safety - they deserve our support.

In order to fully support our veterans, we need a change in Washington. With your help, that change can start right here in Arizona.

Thanks for all your support in the past few weeks. We are doing great and it is because of your overwhelming support!

Sincerely,

Bob Lord
