I seriously hope that Diane Benson isn't left out of the DSCC and DCCC funding next year and that they only give it to whoever is also running for Young's seat. (Especially since both organizations have received record donations and currently have over $100 million more than their Republican counterparts!)

I heard CC on her program "Cutting Edge" talking with the head of the DSCC/DCCC, and she was really giving the guy crap about not supporting Dianne financially during the last election. He had some lame excuse saying that they simply didn't think that Don was a target until now.

I'm guessing Begich will also run for that seat, but then again .. who knows? He hasn't mentioned it lately when he's called into KUDO every Wednesday.

I wouldn't mind seeing Eric Croft run for Mayor! ..And of he's not into doing that, then maybe Andy Halcro? Either of them would probably do a pretty good job..

5. I just really, really want Diane to have another shot at Don...

She had such momentum going into the last election, and she's out there getting an early start before everyone without playing coy like Mark is. And you know I'm an unabashed progressive -- Diane just fills the bill for me.

I hope that this coming election, that dirtbag Young will participate in more than one lousy debate!!!!!!!

He's such an arrogant chicken-shit slug that the only reason he wound up agreeing to ONE... count'em ONE ---- debate last time is because of the pressure of media outlets such as KUDO (and of course, their listeners.)

This time he's facing enormous legal and ethical hurdles.

I have a hunch that it's not only going to be Democrats this time.. but that someone from his own party realizes how vulnerable he is and will challenge him for the R-nomination in that seat. *I don't think Alaskans will replace with with another r-THUG.. But I do think someone will try to oust him from being their nominee.

*Correction/Exception/Edit to that prediction above. (Now that I think about it...) If Andrew Halcro opts to run against Young as a Republican; not as an Independent.. he may actually have a really good shot at taking him down as far as their R-nominee. He's gained quite a following since the governor's race -- and not just with Republicans, but with Independents it seems.

Whatever the case.. if Don-dipshit-Young is going to constantly spew out nasty remarks about the Democratic Party like he has been for the past ------------- forever --- he'd better be prepared for some very spirited debates this time!!!!!!!!!!!!

and what's amazing me even more are the surprising number of anti-Bush, impeachment etc letters to the editor. I just wonder who/where all these folks are b/c they are not at my office or in the neighborhood. (I often feel like the token liberal.)
