1. Someone at the DU-Politics is trying to feed me a Rassmussen poll....

already!

Like Scott Rasmussen really knows what the Hell is going on up here!

I believe that once the campaign begins and once the debates take place, Tony will edge past Sarah and he will never go back again!

He has too many advatages over her!!!

He'll definitely pick up the Democratic, most of the Independents (since Palin is anti-choice and that DOES NOT GO OVER WELL IN ALASKA), most of the rural Bush, and the majority of the Military votes.

Rock on Tony ~~~

2. I saw that...

I was posting exactly what you were about the independents before I read your reply. People down south just don't "get" Alaska politics. I think you're right about the pro-choice thing. There's been so much "personality" politics in the Republican primary, but not so much discussion about issues that matter (other than the gas line deal). I imagine there will be a lot of fascination with Sarah at first, but once people realize that she's "form above substance" they'll fall back on Tony's maturity and experience. At least, that's what I'm hoping.

4. tony and sarah, yeah, great fun
My wife told me that where she works some of the men she works with stated that they would vote for palin because she was "hot". Maybe the women will vote for tony because of his looks.
Sarah still has one big old problem, mainly, she is repukagain. That can only mean that she will spit in the face of the people sooner or later and lean towards big business. All these years of repukes running things can only lead to this conclusion.
One of the good things in this election was murky's solid defeat. I hope he leaves alaska completely, he is not wanted here. Him and his bp friends.

5. sarah is a populist
not part of the corporatist wing of the republican party...that's her draw...and that's why the corporatists in the repug party hate her...they consider her a traitor and a backstabber...

the irony is that Tony is more of a corporatist than Sarah...fortunately in all other things he is a very liberal guy...
