So here I am, as a Coloradan visiting the virtual Alabama.
What do you want to show me about the great state of Alabama?

The reason I asked is that I am shipping a cool pair of fuzzy boots to Auburn, Alabama. I wonder about the town, the ambience down on each state that i send stuff to... and of course the Tigers football team.

1. I am curious
Who in Auburn, Alabama, ordered fuzzy boots?

I never wore fuzzy boots when I attended Auburn University ages ago.

But now that I think about it, my feet did get very cold when I was watching Auburn play football in late November. Back then no female attended a game without a "date," who was obligated to buy the female a corsage with the Auburn colors (blue and orange). Females wore suits, high heels, stockings, a hat, and gloves. Am I ancient or what?

IMO the best thing to see near Auburn other than a sports event is Chewalca (sp?) State Park. In my day a female could wear Bermuda shorts to the park in the summer time, but the female had to wear a raincoat over the shorts on the way to the car, even when the temperature was 98 degrees.

2. Hmm...
Well, we have the deepest canyon west of the Mississippi. It's not much compared to the canyons out west, but it's pretty cool.

There are some really nice white-sand beaches on our Gulf Coast.

The Birmingham Civil Rights Institute is a living and constant reminder of our painful past.

And, of course, this time of year is all about football.

At Auburn...

As well as the University of Alabama.

I'm not really sure what you were after, but that's my contribution. :)

Welcome to virtual Alabama! :hi:
