Tom Arnold vacations in Tuscaloosa?
Edited on Fri Aug-22-08 03:02 AM by Syrinx
So I tuned into the local news, well to the local sports really, to hear about today's football practice.

And who was watching the Tide practice? None other than that goofball actor Tom Arnold.

The reporter interviewed him briefly. He said he was vacationing in town with his friend Jamie Tisch.

I had no idea who Tisch was, so I looked her up. She's a UA graduate who is (has been?) married to Steve Tisch, the movie producer (Forrest Gump, The Burning Bed), and one of the owners of the New York Giants. Wikipedia says he the only person ever to win both a Super Bowl ring and an Oscar. Ms. Tisch has been active in philanthropy and women's health issues.

Tom Arnold said that his son will play football for Alabama one day.

Mr. Arnold is a decidedly peculiar person, but he's a very funny talk-show guest, and I thought he was good in True Lies.

I can't figure out out to post the picture directly, but here's a link to a photo of Tom talking to Mal Moore. I assume the woman is Jamie Tisch.

I just thought the oddity of it all deserved a post. :)
