Have to share something cool with you all.
The is this house not too far from where I live. The house is on a large corner lot with a big privacy fence. They are always flying an American flag and a MIA flag. They also always have "support our troops" signs & ribbons. The other day I drove by and about every 4 to 5 feet on the fence were "Veterans for Kerry" signs. It warmed my heart.

1. There are a lot more of us than there are veterans against Kerry

Repubs don't own the military or the veterans. They just act like they do.

9. Most of the Vets I know support Kerry.
My grandfather amongst them, though he generally leans leftward. The good news is that he lives in Michigan, and that's a swing state. I suspect he is slowly turning the other guys at the VFW on to the idea that Bush is bad for the troops themselves.

11. Not so warm story from my neighbor....
She saw my Kerry support sign and said, I see you've voting for Kerry. I didn't say anything to see what else she had to say. She said, I'm a republican and have doubts about Bush, this war and lost jobs which hit my family in such a bad way. But I don't know the issues and I guess I will always vote republican. (She's not very bright).

I told her, I'm voting Kerry because you are my friend and dear neighbor, and I know just how difficult it has been for your family to cope after your husband lost his job and pension. And you are the main reason why I'm for voting for Kerry. She said, at least my husband is voting for Kerry.

One out of two ain't bad.

And how pathetically sad for her...she's so incapable of independent action -- whew, that's sad.

19. That's AWESOME
My dad was a WWII vet and totally liberal. He would be in a frenzy if he were alive today. I bet he would be heading up Vets for Kerry meetings if he were. My parents would still be living in Florida too, so that would be really great.
