Cheyne made my niece cry!
My four year old niece---daughter of the semi-freeper brother---got out of bed and wandered into the living room where her (idiot) parents were watching the debate. They were alerted to her presence behind them in the doorway by her crying. When asked why, she pointed at the TV and said "He's bad" They tried to convince her that no, he is a NICE man. She said "no, he's mean" pushed further about why she thought such a "silly" thing, she said he was scary. (I'll second that)

Apparently the brother is not too happy but my less-freeperish-sister-in-law thought it hilarious.

Another generation of genetically programed Democrats coming up! More proof my brother is an aberation!

28. Sorry, I know someone with the other spelling and forget
mainly, I think, because I don't want to think of him in any real way....

Edward Cheyne, on the other hand, is a hell of a good guy!!!!

7. That Bastard!
;)

This reminds me of a c-span thing I saw not too long ago. They were following around a rethug canvasser, who was working a mostly republican suburb.

So, he rings the bell on one door and a woman with small child in tow answers. "Oh, we are definitely for Bush" says the freeper, "aren't we?" directed at little girl. In response the child begins to cry. Trying to calm her, they give her one of his BC signs, which only induces even greater hysteria on the child's part! I thought her little hands were burning from the evil thing they shoved at her and mused: "A little Democrat, there..." ;)

11. That is incredible!
I wonder what would happen if a whole classroom of 4 year olds were shown the debates. That might be very revealing.

20. Thank you
I've been reading here for a long time. I "DU" lots of polls. Finally decided to jump in and test the waters. I don't have a lot of opportunity to spend time posting on the internet, but I like this community, and will try to contribute something of value here.

Peace.

23. I'm a crusty New Englander
Lots of liberals here, some neo-cons, more old-fashioned Goldwater conservatives though (you know, the real conservatives who can actually make a sane point and are harder to hate).

Not a lot of bumper stickers of any stripe, though. I travel to other parts of the country and am surprised at how much people advertise their every thought on their vehicle. That's not so popular here.

15. I can't stand to look at him when he's on TV!
He snarls when he talks and hardly ever smiles. During the debate, Edwards looked like a ray of sunshine, while Cheney was the dark cloud!

19. My darling dog

hates Bush.

Whenever Bush is on TV dog will jump off of the couch and start barking at the TV.

He also did that with Celine Dion a long time ago. That was different. She was singing," My Heart will go on and on and on." Those high notes caused my dog to howl.

He will only go to the TV and bark for Bush and other moving animals.

If I can catch him doing it, and I'm quick with my camera,I'll post it for you guys.

27. Back in early 2001
bush was on a magazine cover and we were standing in the checkout line at the grocery story and my daughter, then just six, actually RECOILED from the photo on the magazine, then pointed it out to me and said "Momma he scares me, his eyes are scary!"

And he was SMILING in that picture. But his eyes DID look evil. She had no idea who he was at that time, either.
