Overlooked tidbit in CBS Poll: 24% "scared" of the idea of Cheney
as president:

"Debate improved your opinion of the candidate?"

Cheney: 29 percent, opinion improved

Edwards: 58 percent, opinion improved

And perhaps the most telling statistic of the quick survey, in light of moderator Gwen Ifill's question to Edwards regarding his qualifications to be within a "heartbeat" of the top job: 24 percent of the undecided voters polled by CBS apparently said that they were "scared" of the idea of Dick Cheney as president.

"lifelines" were looking like when they said this about Cheney being a "heartbeat" away. I bet they dropped like a rock. We should get Bill to show us that moment on his little contraptions. What a hoot!

4. Ann Richards said it best...."I'm glad I don't work for this guy"
The scum bad CEO couldn't shed his despicable condescending attitude. The "old pro" ....is old....but he's no pro. He exemplifies corporate America and where we've gone wrong ....and how this crap is now upon us in the political arena....already controlling our media and attempting to control us because of the very fact that we are there to be controlled and exploited.

Why can't people get it. Corporate America doesn't need help from the Government to be that much worse. Keep it the F out of our politics.

My wife is a good barometer of the "sense of it all". She was disheartened that Edwards mentioned his gay daughter (most of that apparent awe is due to the time delay of the response...from the original question concerning gay marriage to Cheney....to the time it took for Edward to readdress the previous question....then introduce the remark about gay marriage). But overall, she saw a devious, side angle mouth talking person she gathered no sense of trust for.

They will make a big deal about the gay daughter comment...but the good news is that when re-viewed (it was shown on IMUS and generally even this team, which has been tongue and cheek against Kerry) said it wasn't that bad a comment at all.
