HARDBALL right after the debate and Tweety was whoring for Cheney big time like Cheney crushed Edwards...I dont think anyone crushed anyone.....Cheney lied away and Edwards got some very good points in there and his line that America cannot take another 4 years of your experience was AWESOME.....but does HARDBALL mention this? NO!

They act like only Cheney got good points in and crushed Edwards....i cannot stand their whoring. Poor Ron Reagan....he is on that stage all alone with those whores!

Mr. Mathews,

Cheney came across as borish, constantly putting his hands over his mouth as if he needed to hide the lies as they were coming out. You need to call things like you see them and stop pushing the GOP talking points. I saw John Edwards clearly win the debate tonite.

I think Edwards really resonated with common folks (look at the online polls- we're NOT that powerful) because he was just warmer and friendlier. And that's something that's desirable in a vice president.

I'm truly amazed at Chris Matthews' methodology for concluding that Dick Cheney "won" the debate with John Edwards. Form is more important that substance, illusion more vital than reality, gravely spoken lies win over obvious truths.

Mr. Matthews, your job (in case you have forgotten) is to help us, your very busy audience, to sort the wheat from the chaff so that we can be adequately informed enough to vote on November 2. And you failed miserably with your analysis of the Cheney/Edwards debate when you left out any significant review of who was telling the truth and who wasn't. Frankly, I don't care who is more polished or who presents their information with the most gravitas. I care about who is lying to me, and who is telling me the truth. I care about real policies and their real effects, not about who's better at spinning.

In truth, our democracy is the real loser in a debate where the sitting vice-president lies repeatedly and a leading pundit converts this skilled chutzpah into a win.

Vacuous. That's what Mr. Matthews' commentary was tonight. Vacuous.
