How do I verify my absentee ballot?
Edited on Mon Oct-04-04 07:54 AM by JaySherman
Mailed it last week. How do I make sure it reaches the right hands and gets counted?

1. call the county board every day
My guess is you'll have an easier time getting your absentee ballot sent out than I will. If you send it from Japan like me you never know what's going to happen.

I'm an ALT, as if it isn't obvious.

Sounds like you're working for one of the Engrish factories. Lemme guess... NOVA? GEOS?

12. one of those two, yeah
As we say back home, don't be hatin'. My philosophy is to teach New York English, in which case everything I have typed is so far gramatically correct. :silly:

But when you've been here so long, ya gotta laugh at it.

Anyways, PM or IM me. Be cool to talk to a fellow Japan DU'er.

7. Good Luck...Shoulda Sent It Registered...
Costs a couple of extra dollars, but it requires someone at the board of elections to sign for it, and you'll get a receipt of it getting there. From there, your guess as to where it goes and what's done depends on where you're from and who runs your local elections.
