If guys like Blitzer are turning on Condi, does this mean they smell blood
and want to be on the favorable side of the fence on the morning of November 3rd?

1. I kind of doubt that
I think that the corporate media knows that a Kerry administration would not withhold access like a * administration, and would be much more open. They would problably treat a Kerry administration like they did the Clinton administration, and get away with it. The same forces that allow them to be lapdogs for * would work in reverse.

6. Did you ever notice
the swing of the pendulum loses momentum? The RW has been dominant for only a few years and we're ready to go the other way. Like Mike Malloy said the other night, "nature seeks balance" and the RW influence was so strong over the last few years that it will take at least 12 years to find that balance.

2. My own tinfoilhat theory: The Republican Takedown of W
Seriously, I think Republicans know that another four years of this bu**sh** will put them out of power for a generation. So, the "word" has gone out to throw him to the wolves. Not only will that keep him from making "Republican" a dirty word for the next couple of decades, Kerry's efforts to clean up the mess we've ALREADY got from his maladministration almost guarantees that they'll have lots of sh*t to throw at him in 2008. Short term loss, long term gain.

admin, but not irreparably so (yet). Someone is loosening the leash a bit, testing the waters.

If the media is controlled by the RW and Rove types, they might be planning something here for the OS. Whether it's to get Kerry's guard down or to give Shrub the underdog take - who knows what Rove could be up to.

If it's the "suits" running the show, this is there way of signaling Bushco that it's over.

4. What did I miss... Blitzer turning on Condi? Can't imagine him turning
on any adminface... unless it is a sign that she is to be a sacrificial lamb for the campaign...

10. he asked her a few 'tough' questions, ALL of which could have
been asked before the war, and he, of course, did almost no follow up; just let her filibuster

I saw most of it, and think that he's being given too much credit, as if his total complicity in the past has created a set of expectations regarding his 'journalistic' integrity on the order of those for the chimpboy's debating acumen

that's all

when those creeps lie with every breath, it doesn't take much in the way of serious, onpoint questioning to make them squirm

5. I do think most media sides with who's on top at the time.
Kerry is at the top because he won the debates, so the media is jumping on his critics and those who are trying toprove the media wrong by proping up shrub.

I'm sure it will change again when some new story changes the direction of the wind.

11. No, it means that Condi is "expendable" Rove and Karen are orchestrating
her ouster. Just sit back and watch the action. Karen hates Condi, always has, too close to GW and poppy.

12. i don't believe it.....
these people are like insects; totally lacking in any honour. condimental rice is black, and she comes up from the 60's era civil rights subculture, about as distinct from the bush monsters as possible....mind you, there may be background things you're aware of i'm not....
but i bet that in 20 years rice and powell etc will admit they never used front door when visiting bush; that's old goofy's mentality imho....
(btw oldbush cannot say where he was day JFK was murdered, probably only person on earth who can't...I was a lil KID and i remember that day!)
