Reporter asks Gephardt to comment on Dean's "C-word"
Did anyone see this on C-span yesterday?

I'm not criticizing this reporter, I think he's excellent. I'm not making fun either, I think it's kind of charming how people are still old-fashioned, I think it could be because it was Iowa.

David Yepsen, in an interview with Gep on local Iowa PBS, read the quote from Dean where Dean said something was "crap", and then apologized to Gep for using such language. Later, he asked Gep to comment on Dean's use of "the C-word."

I swear that Gep looked like he was struggling not to laugh, something you don't see in him every day.

2. I saw it!
I thought of it as his "You can't be serious?" look; I still like Gephart, some days better than others. :)

8. I forgot something else he said
he said Dean used "scatalogical terminology."

Maybe it's just me, but the literal meaning of words like shit and crap rarely occur to me when I hear them or use them. Too funny. :-)

3. This should be locked. The title of the thread does not accurately...
describe the content of the post.

9. "c-word" is a quote from the reporter
maybe that's what you're talking about? That's not the way I'm putting it, that's the way he put it.

4. "The c-word?"
and it's just "crap?"

Maybe you're not making fun, but I certainly will. Frankly, calling it "the c-word" makes people who don't know imagine it's much worse than it really is.

Did he call Gep a communist? a corporatist? a cannibal?

a cult leader? a CCCP-lover? a Cuban sympathizer?

a Cornhusker? a CIA-plant? a Cassanova?

... and those are just the clean ones.
