Condi lying again on the Today Show
Edited on Sun Oct-03-04 07:40 AM by JPJones
Asked about the aluminum tubes - evades, "The Soviet Union had a nuclear capability 5 years ahead of schedule." It's not all like the Soviet Union, Condi.

Did you tell the President there were doubts about the intelligence? "Of course".

You said on CNN that the aluminum tubes only really suited for nuclear weapons programs and that you didn't want the smoking gun to be a mushroom cloud. Do you regret saying that?
"You know what you know at the time. The fact is what you know at the time can affect what you say. What you learn later can not."

Maybe we should get her a subscription to the New York Times:
http://www.nytimes.com/2004/10/03/international/middleeast/03tube.html?hp
But almost a year before, Ms. Rice's staff had been told that the government's foremost nuclear experts seriously doubted that the tubes were for nuclear weapons, according to four officials at the Central Intelligence Agency and two senior administration officials, all of whom spoke on condition of anonymity. The experts, at the Energy Department, believed the tubes were likely intended for small artillery rockets.

2. She's so overrated
Are we really supposed to be in awe of the supposed brilliance of this woman?

Sometimes I think all the hype about her is because, well...I better just leave it at that.

13. She's a real national treasure, alright.

I remember millions of people running for their lives through the streets of New York City, as buildings and other "items" tumbled down on around them.

I remember craters in Pennsylvania, and the Pentagon up in flames.

I also remember who was in charge of National Security that day.

Tell me, does she look as old and weary as she did before she had to make the rounds of all the talk shows in the summer?

6. This is the line that could and should haunt *
"One's statements are based on the best knowledge at the time..."

This line should be used to completely destroy * and his minions' allegations about any change of mind in the part of Kerry. I am firmly convinced that the information presented to the Senate and House was very skewed, and as a result many people voted for the IWR who, with proper information would have voted against it.

9. And, dear Condi, what the bloody hell is that supposed to MEAN?
To me, it says that we shouldn't try and learn from our past mistakes!? That would be consistent with the way this administration thinks, now wouldn't it. Thanks JPJones!!!!!!!:toast:

12. She's denying the NY Times story - that should piss off the NYT
She's saying the DOE didn't tell her the tubes were for rockets or were not very useful for a centrifuge before Sept 8, 2002. That is a relatively easily disprovable lie.

11. Poor lying sleezy lice
*I* knew at the time that the DOE, who are THE EXPERTS on centrifuges, said the tubes are NOT for centrifuges but are ONLY for conventional rockets.

Yet the oh-so-"brilliant" US National Security Advisor rice tries to say she DIDN'T know this.

There are ONLY TWO CHOICES:

1. If she didn't know this, when even I did know this, then she's an ignorant dangerous fool.

or

2. She's a liar.

There are NO OTHER POSSIBILITIES.

19. DID YOU READ BOB GRAHAM'S BOOK?
the uncalssified NIE released to the senate before the vote did not have all the dissenting views and caveats as the classified version did....the senate was tricked into voting for the war as was the House.

23. Condi is a disaster. Her apptmt is like a polio expert as surgeun general
She was an expertr on the Soviet Union. Which doesn't even exist anymore!!!

She's like appointing an experts on dinosaurs as secy of the interior.

When she stood up at the press conference after 9-11 and said "nobody could have envisioned this" the press should have been ALL OVER HER!!!

There are four words for Condi: In. Over. Her. Head.
