How many have noticed that the Freepers site is down?
I know this isn't a important issue; but we can only hope that after witnessing what a true idiot Bush is these people gave up. Either way at least maybe it seems like a good sign especially after Kerry's victory with the Debates. The only question is if it is down for good where do we get our entertainment and laughs from?

1. Come on, now
"Rim Job" (Jim Robinson) has to take the site down every so often for maintenance, just like we do here at DU. (I think EarlG usually gets that thankless job, but I could be wrong.)

Since it's Sunday morning, and all good Freepers are in Church, it seems like a logical time to do it.

7. I took a look over there on friday to size up the response
to the debate, and noticed a message to the effect that the site was going to be down for a while for much needed maintenance. Still fun to make silly jokes about it I suppose. There really are some folks over there who are capable of thinking, from time to time, and we are going to have to work with them after the election no matter what. My opinion is that some generosity of spirit on our part is always in order.

8. Amen Rev...............
As much as we despise these twits we are goign to have to coexist with them during the Kerry Presidency. I'd like to think we could build a few bridges and somehow work together to make this country better, stronger and the Moral leader again in a world torn into shreds by hate and injustice.
OK, I'm a dreamer, but if you don't have a dream you'll never have a dream come true. The chances are next to nil, but we have to be the better beings and extend an olive branch sooner or later.

11. That site usually gets shut down just before a fundraiser
in an attempt to create withdrawal symptoms and a greater willingness to donate. Without access to the website many individual freepers have a very difficult time validating their overwhelming feelings of hatred. Shuting the site down to increase fundraising is pretty manipulative but probably very effective. Hatred can be lonely.
