I'm registering voters for SIX HOURS today!!!!!
The woman running for state representative from my district has organized a marathon voter registration session today all over this district. We have *200* people doing it!!!!! The repuke incumbent she is running against isn't even CAMPAIGNING this year. Screw him, he doesn't deserve it. 12 years in office and he doesn't represent us in Austin AT ALL.

Anyway, I am really excited. I am a deputy voter registrar and we are hoping to register 2000 or more, in addition to the thousands we have already registered in the past. This district has approximately 160,000 residents--I don't know how many are eligible to vote. But we are getting a lot!!

I encourage everyone to try to do one thing today to help Kerry and/or other Dem candidates running! Write an LTTE reminding your local dailies that KERRY WON THAT DEBATE. Don't let them forget.

2. Yes we are
though (embarrassed) I don't really know what it is yet! I heard the campaign workers talk about it, but don't know the details.

I know I have taken the day off work on November 2, I have a van and my best friend took off too, she has a conversion van and we are driving people to the polls, especially the elderly and those without reliable transportation (poor).
