Up north, people will be heating their homes before the election. In New York, heating oil is up 36 cents over last year at this time. Kerosene is up 41 cents. I would guess there are similar increases in other states and I would also guess that's going to mean a yearly increase of several hundred dollars for many voters' heating costs. It's going to be hard for the Administration and its allies in the liberal media to successfully shift the blame for this to Kerry's windsurfing.

it doesn't seem to effect ignorant hicks here in upstate central NY. I'm allowed to call them that -- I grew up here.

I've given up trying to make them (the ignorant hicks -- please note, there are plenty of well educated intelligent hicks too) understand. There is a radical disconnect between them seeing that the actions of the people in power are directly responsible for so much of their suffering and their continued support of the Bush junta.

As for the oil prices specifically they blame those damn arabs and believe that we should bomb them out of existence and then take their oil.

before the election? I live in GA, and we may still have the air on in November.:)

4. The InDUMBENT! Oh that's funny.
I feel almost sorry that we only have 3 or so months left of his "pResidency" just so we don't get more mileage out of the word InDumbent. That's hilarious.

I ALMOST feel sorry.
