8. Nobody can appreciate it until they see it.
Once you see Bush sitting like a frozen fudgesicle for seven minutes, you can't get that image out of your mind. It's delible.

After the millions of people who will see it on DVD, half of the states that are red now will turn blue. And if he ever gets it on TV, ha ha ha ha hah ha ha.

Fahrenheit 911 Gets Another Theatre Run

By Paul Cashmere

22 September 2004

Michael Moore's award winning Bush bashing documentary Fahrenheit 911 is going back into US cinemas on September 24.

The movie will differ slightly from the first run in that it has been given a new 600 print wide expansion.

When first released on June 25, Fahrenheit 911 became the first documentary to gross more than $100 million. It had the highest opening for a documentary in history. It had the highest advance ticket sales online for a documentary and became the No. 7 on the all time list of openings.

The film embarrassed the Bush administration in content and even further when they tried to have television commercials for the movie banned. Coinciding with the re-release of the movie and upcoming DVD will be the original movie soundtrack.

11. It's causing quite a stir in Williamsburg

<snip>
"Fahrenheit 9/11" is turning up the heat in Colonial Williamsburg.

Michael Moore's critically acclaimed but controversial documentary began an 11-night run at the Kimball Theatre in Williamsburg earlier this week amid protests from local conservatives. The film - which focuses on several topics related to the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 - is openly critical of President Bush and has led opponents to claim the screenings are politically motivated and possibly illegal.
</snip>

It did not play in Williamsburg originally. The local Carmike multiplex did not play it locally. (I'm not sure whether the whole chain did not play it.) The closest theater was about 20 miles away.

Colonial Williamsburg runs an art house theater. When they play high profile movies, they get them after they come off first run. So it ran last week. The R's threw a fit. Of course, the publicity doubled regular attendence.

Unfortunately, it is likely to hurt Colonial Williamsburg's fund raising campaigns.

Their response is that it's not politics, it's just business. They would like to offer "Michael Moore Hates America" but are having trouble getting it.
