What kind of poll is it if they don't even ask whom you're voting for? (m)

I wish I paid attention to the name of the company calling. I didn't recognize it immediately, but I'm not up on these things. I was afraid it might be some kind of push poll. But no, they only asked what the liklihood was that I would vote on Nov. 2, and what my voting history was, as in how often do I actually vote generally.

What kind of poll would that be for?

That was a 'voter ID' call. We've got folks here in MD making calls like that to MO. It's one of the first steps in the Get-Out-the-Vote effort.
The b/c side is no doubt doing it too.

The object is to identify people who are registered and likely to vote your way. The week before the election, you call the 'friendly' voters back to remind them to vote and see if they need transportation. If you've got the volunteer base, you call 'em again on elections Day

Not and exciting process--but it wins elections.
