So I'm in a coffeehouse in suburban Philly this morning at openning time. I was having a nice chat with the woman helping me and on the way out asked if she would mind me asking who she was voting for. She said "Bush". I asked if she'd mind if I asked why. SHe said something equivalent to not changing top guys with all "this stuff going on". I said "yeah, but Bush caused the stuff" which she acknowledged. She seemed very willing so I started in on the environment which she was receptive too. She said she was "against abortion" so I didn't go there. An older, wealthy looking woman approached the shop and I said I didn't want to get stuck in a 3 way discussion (I was heading to work). I told I'd stop in again and again she was receptive. I'll stop in a few more times between now and 11/2 but at least I planted the seeds. She seemed interested in the environment so I told her to head to the Sierra Club's site...where they club Bush. This is what we need to do, engage people everywhere whether we know them or not. If we think they'll talk we have to try and get them to our side. The fate of the world hangs in the balance. Tiocfaidh ar la!
