Shrubya takes a hit in the war jewels

He once again goes back on himself, and succeeds in contradicting Allawi. Way to go, Dumbya.

Bush: Terrorists May Plan More Attacks

By JENNIFER LOVEN, Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON - Standing beside Iraq (news - web sites)'s interim leader, President Bush (news - web sites) contended Thursday that insurgents could "plot and plan attacks elsewhere, in America and other free nations," if the United States pulled out. He said his top commander there has not asked for more troops but if he did, "I'd listen to him."

After meeting with interim Prime Minister Ayad Allawi, Bush said he expects violence in Iraq to escalate as the country moves toward elections scheduled for January. Even so, Allawi discounted the need for more foreign soldiers.

"To have more troops, we don't need," Allawi said, suggesting that Iraq instead should train its own security forces.

2. People Aren't That Stupid
They know we're in deep shit in Iraq and it only gets worse if this regime remains. People didn't believe the spins earlier this year, and with more dead and a worse situation, they're not going to fall for the "things are really great here" bullshit.

The shrill tone of the Repugnican spinners today tells a lot. They're scared shitless. Their pollsters are seeing bad things if the focus stays on Iraq, so either distort it (since they've been sucessful in doing that with so many other issues) and then create a diversion so people won't pay that much attention. It's going to be the end of this regime.

I love when I hear these bastards blame the same media that's blowing them...saying how it's not bringing all the good stories out of Iraq. Maybe Dana Rohrbasher should hop on a plane himself, drag his fat ass to Falujah or Mosul or Basra and show us what he means. The reason there are no good reports coming out of Iraq is reporters are scared shit to step out of their hotels these days cause the situation has deteriorated so bad they know they'll get their heads chopped if they go outside the "green zone".

Watch the support for this war begin to really erode in the weeks ahead as things stay bad or get worse and the inevitable need for a draft and more troops becames painfully obvious. These lies this regime can't hide or avoid. Even with their corporate media toadies.
