Are you eagerly awaiting the first Gallup poll from DC?
I imagine they would weight it something like 60% Republicans, 25% Democrats, 15% Independents, and it would look a little like this:

Kerry - 51
Bush - 44

And the pundits would say, "Kerry is in serious danger of losing this Democratic stronghold!"

Wouldn't that be fun? :D

1. Bet they'd say it with a straight face too.
Even though Gore won it 86-9-5 in 2000. :D

3. Or....
Bush has significantly cut into the lead of John Kerry and the trend has to be disconcerting for the Kerry campaign.

4. No, they are just focusing on Barry
I saw Novak's sorry ass the other night say that the fact that the people are going to elect Marion Barry as Mayor again proves that DC is not yet ready for self-governance. What a tool. When is Navak getting tried for treason again?

6. I believe they had the same argument about Iraq -- and Vietnam
FWIW, Charles Krauthammer of the Wash.Post is cool with Barry. I was surprised, since Post hates Barry's guts.

What people outside DC don't know is that Barry was discovered in a "spider hole" in Anacostia shortly before the election where he'd been held up since 1998. He was secretly controlling the DC government by means of communiques from Barry loyalists. ;)

5. They'll Come Up With...
Kerry Falls in DC to 88% of the vote....down from Gore's 92.

Also, notice how any Kerry uptick isn't him gaining strength, it's "readjusting" of the polls. We never get an even break.

People here were freaking out last week (or the week before) when some polls had NY within 5.
