Kerry needs a professional throat/voice coach. He sounds awful and
there's too much time to go.

5. Remember Clinton in 1996?
Couldn't speak in the last few days. Heard speculation once that he permanently damaged his voice.

I've been reminded of that in recent days when I hear Kerry. Got to admit, Bush is sounding a tad more scratchy than usual, too.

for Kerry to lose his voice and also for Kerry to look at him "that way" so he can kill him and tell God he died.

12. i wonder...
if it turns out Kerry is somehow permanently disfigured or is disabled...would he stand a shrimp's chance in Jupiter of making it to the oval office?

you guys think we'll ever have a disabled president, like oh, i don't know, max cleland? a black president? a gay president? an arab president? a woman president? a gay, arab, woman president?

seriously, or is this country permanently geared towards "for the white people by the white people" mindset?

what are you talking about?

I am confused by your question, but I will say that if Cleland were named SOD, I think that would be a great first step....

9. A tip gleaned from a pro stage actor...
Always have a dish of freshly peeled orange slices before going onstage. Especially helpful to anyone with voice/throat problems.

He HAS to be able to speak next week. Get the surrogates out there and don't cancel any dates.

11. One word: Aquadrops
As a pastor, I yak it up every Sunday, and have had problems in the past with losing my voice. I tried AquaDrops - and they worked wonders!

I called campaign HQ in Washington, DC - actually spoke with someone about this. I said I know it might sound silly, but I think it might really help him. The guy told me he was going to contact one of his campaign staff immediately. :)

And no, I don't work for the company that makes them!
