Cleland Crisscrosses Maine, Tells Voters 'W Stands For Wrong' - Wrong ..
.. For Veterans, Wrong For Working Families

<snip> "George Bush has spent the past four years making the wrong decisions for the wrong reasons," said Cleland. "It shouldn't surprise anyone that George Bush is helping the special interests, because they helped him get where he is today." <snip>

While discussing the integrity, character, and strength that will make John Kerry a Commander-in-Chief the people of Maine can trust, Cleland highlighted George Bush's repeated pattern of wrong choices. When he makes a choice, George Bush time and time again comes down on the side of the powerful and well connected at the expense of veterans, military families and working families across Maine.

Cleland also discussed the Kerry-Edwards vision to take the nation in a new direction with a plan to build a stronger America at home.

Like John Kerry, Max Cleland volunteered for duty in Vietnam and was awarded both a Bronze Star and a Silver Star for gallantry in action. In 1968, he lost both legs and his right arm in a grenade explosion. He later served as Secretary of the Veterans Administration and U.S. Senator from Georgia.
