Help! Kerry is slipping, Bush is doing well, and...
...let's repeat that mantra loud and clear - if there's anything irresistible to those mofo's it's an opportunity to gloat, crow victory and lay back and backslap each other.

If we can encourage them to get cocky - let's!!!

1. I think there's a real danger
of our side getting discouraged and not bothering to vote.

2. I'm using the supposed "Bush is ahead"
to talk with conservatives who don't like everything the neocons have done. I know a couple who are voting Libertarian. That's two fewer votes for the GOP-and they were votes Kerry was never going to get.

3. AWOL story is helping Bush. Gallup poll out tomorrow shows 13% Bush lead
The AWOL/National Guard story is backfiring on us in a big way. I have been told that a Gallup/CNN poll out to be released on Friday has Bush 13 points ahead nationally. We need to get back to discussing the real issues.

4. Very good, very convincing!
That's the stuff we need to say out loud when we're sure we'll be overheard by a bushista!

;)

5. 13 Points? Bah!
I've been told it has Bush ahead 73 points.

More's the pity. I was hoping for a Nader bounce to the head of the pack.

Oh well, there's always the next Gallup poll...

6. A top Dem staff person told me about the Gallup poll.
Edited on Thu Sep-16-04 05:58 PM by David Dunham
The campaigns get advanced notice of polls. I don't like the GOP-leaning Gallup, but that is what the poll will show -- Bush 13 points ahead nationally.

8. The truth. The truth. The truth.
The giant, stinging sword has to be the truth. It must lead all weapons. Ultimately, the only salvation, the only way to prevent this world's becoming a stinking, biologically murdered, atomic waste slag heap is the liberal application of the truth.

17. WE don't have anything to do with it one way or the other.
It is CBS News and Dan Rather calling the shots on this story, as well as the rest of the perfumed princes of punditry. WE have absolutely no control over it at all. WE, if we had such control, would have exposed far more of his underbelly of this beast long before this late date.

Nope, all we can do is watch and see what develops. And, it's pretty satisfying to hear Ms Knox tell about how the other pilots laughed at Bushie and his cavalier, irresponsible, the-world-owes-me bullshit. Deeply satisfying.
