The American Media Is Surely Embarrassed About How They
fell in with Bush & helped him promote his Iraq war. The European media knew it was a fraud. The Canadian media knew it was a fraud. The American media is as guilty as the ones who got us in this mess.

2. BS
The "media" knows no embarassment. Their purpose is obvious. Their game is transparent, but still they persist. Out them, every one.

3. You are expecting shame, remorse and admission of guilt by....
...U.S. media whores? Don't hold your breath. The media has been selling out for a long time, at least since Reagan allowed the intertwining of big corporate media mergers, so that aspect of American journalism has been totally corrupted. It should meet a quick death so that the new breed of journalists wherever they may be can emerge.

12. No. They do not act embarrassed. They act as if they are trying to
redeem their approval of bush at every turn. They are unwilling to acknowledge that they were snookered by bush.

5. Now that you mention it...
Maybe this is why the "golderned librul media" has been so puke-inducingly right wing this time around. Americans will NEVER admit they've screwed up, and American business won't admit to being anything but lily-white and saintly. They know they fell WAY too far into this war thing in their quest for ratings, and now they have to continue backing the Enemy of the People so they don't have to admit it.

Hell, for that matter, maybe they're still looking for ratings. "Gentlemen, war sells. It's BIG money. We'd better make sure * gets appointed again so we'll have at least one more before we have to start finding our own news again."

7. Embarrassed?
Surely you jest?

The American Media is NEVER embarrassed because they have no human qualities. They are soulless whores who will say and do anything to please their corporate johns. They are colossal liars.

Worse than shameless, the American Media have become traitors to this country. Their corruption has all but destroyed democracy in this country.

They are not redeemable.

(of course, there are courageous individual media persons, but the vast majority of the American Media belongs in hell.)

8. Ted Koppel is
A couple days ago, he had a review of the situation in Iraq on Nightline. He started the show by discussing trustworthiness of various sources, saying, "As for the media? We'll have to stand on stools just to reach the level of used car salesmen."

He then went on to show more footage of the front-line situation in Iraq in 20 minutes than cable news has shown in six months.

9. But they still don't care about the truth
Right now they're acting like nothing more than an echo chamber and not fact checking at all. I'm so tired of seeing GOP lies marketed by the media as truth, only to be countered by whatever the Democrats have said (if we're lucky). The lazy mentality of so many reporters that present stories with a style like this need to realize that this is not a great way to present the facts or truth surrounding an issue.

Saying that Iraq is a total disaster isn't liberal bias, it's the truth.
